Instrata is headquartered in Cambridge, UK, and comprises a core team of experts and an international network of associates. Our work takes us around the world, with projects conducted in Europe, Asia and the USA.
We apply our combined expertise to deliver solutions for clients. We are a multi-disciplinary team made up of strategists, creatives, anthropologists, technologists, designers and brand specialists. We have worked for some of the leading innovative organisations in people-centred innovation and design, such as Xerox EuroPARC, IDEO, E-lab and Doblin.
Founder: Dr Rachel Jones
Rachel has over 15 years experience applying a variety of customer-centred techniques to new technology design. Rachel founded Instrata in 2001 to bring together a team of multidisciplinary individuals with the common aim of involving people in the design of technology. Rachel has worked at the two foremost pioneers of customer-centred techniques in design, Xerox EuroPARC and Sapient (formerly E-lab). Rachel has a PhD in Computer Studies, has over 20 international publications and has authored 10 patents.
